Volunteers Week

Canterbury District Volunteers Centre held their awards ceremony and celebration at the Centre. This involved a number of volunteers from a large range of different charities and volunteer sectors. We were delighted to nominate five of our long term volunteers who have worked tirelessly for Canterbury Umbrella. They have been involved in making visitors feel welcome; administration and representing the members at Trustee / Annual general meetings; working in the café; ensuring the garden always looks its best; fundraising and running activities for the Centre. Some have volunteered in the centre for 14 years or more.
